ADULT OPEN DIVISION

Adult Beginner Ballet: (Ages 18 +) 

No previous dance experience is required. This class is designed for those seeking to learn and train in the fundamentals of Classical Ballet. Classes Available: Classical Ballet Technique and Pilates. Class cards are available only to those participating in the Adult Ballet Classes, Adult Pilate Classes, and Adult Sampler Classes. Cards are offered in 5 and 10 class increments.

Adult Advanced Ballet: (Ages 18 +) 

Prior dance training required. Students who have mastered the techniques, principles, and styles will be placed in adult ballet classes. Advanced Ballet vocabulary is a necessity at this level. Classes Available: Classical Ballet Technique and Pilates. Class cards are available only to those participating in the Adult Ballet Classes, Adult Pilate Classes, and Adult Sampler Classes. Cards are offered in 5 and 10 class increments.

Adult Pilates: (Ages 18 +)

Pilates is a series of controlled movements and coordinated breathing that engage one's body and mind. It focuses on improving flexibility and strength for the overall body. This system ensures the construction of lean muscle. It's a great way to tone up (especially those abs), gain flexibility, and participate in a remarkable exercise regimen all in a fun, open environment. Class cards are available only to those participating in the Adult Ballet Classes, Adult Pilate Classes, and Adult Sampler Classes. Cards are offered in 5 and 10 class increments.

Adult Sampler: (Ages 18 +)

The unique Sampler Class offers adult beginners an exciting opportunity to explore a variety of dance styles throughout the month. Each week, you'll dive into a different genre, gaining a well-rounded introduction to the world of dance. Our rotating schedule includes:

Adult Beginner Modern: Embrace the fundamentals of modern dance, characterized by its emphasis on grounded movement and experimentation with form. This class will encourage you to explore your creativity and physicality in new ways.

Adult Beginner Jazz: Learn the basics of jazz dance, emphasizing rhythm, coordination, and expressive movements. This class will help you develop musicality and confidence on the dance floor.

Adult Beginner Character Dance: Step into the world of character dance, where storytelling and theatricality come to life. You'll explore various character styles, bringing different personas and narratives to your performance.

Adult Beginner Contemporary: Discover the fluid and emotive style of contemporary dance. This class focuses on connecting the mind and body through expressive choreography and improvisation techniques.

Senior Stretch and Conditioning

The class is opened to students of all ages but the primary focus is on the needs of seniors. 

Many health benefits can be gained in this program, such as moderate cardiovascular exercise that contributes to heart health, along with endurance, flexibility, mobility and balance.  The class also offers an opportunity to socialize with other seniors in the effort to prevent isolation and depression as well as to improve the quality of life.The goal for the Senior Program is to provide the community with bold and innovative programs that promote opportunities to live a healthy lifestyle and participate in moderate physical activity programs.
